Your schedule and setting availability

Updated: August 29, 2026

There are two separate things in the app that both look like "schedule" but mean different things: your actual assigned shifts, and your availability (called "disposition").

Your assigned shifts

This is the real upcoming roster — the shifts you're actually scheduled to work. It's a plain read-only weekly view; nothing to configure here.

Setting your availability (disposition)

Disposition is where you tell the company whether you can work on a given upcoming day — available or unavailable. A few rules to know:

  • You can only set availability within a limited window ahead of today (commonly a week, but your company can change it). Trying to set a date further out shows a "date outside the disposition range" error.
  • Once you've answered for a day, you can still change your mind — until that day gets close (commonly 2 days out). Inside that lock window, an existing answer can no longer be changed. If you never set anything for that day at all, you can still set it even inside the window — the lock only protects an answer you already gave.
  • Comments are optional and capped at 500 characters.

Important: marking yourself unavailable doesn't cancel a shift

If you're already assigned a shift on a day you then mark yourself unavailable, the shift doesn't disappear or get cancelled automatically — it stays on the schedule, flagged as a conflict, and your manager gets notified to sort it out. If you're already on the schedule and genuinely can't work it, don't rely on disposition alone — follow up with your manager directly, or offer the shift for trade instead (see the related article below).
